Security of data
McPhersons has the Cyber security accreditation and local machines are ESET protected. All our work is carried out on the Cloud using a EU based cloud provider, Hosted Desktop UK Ltd.
Any data we store is held on servers within the EU. We will hold data collected for marketing purposes for up to 7 years unless there is a request to delete it before this time.
When you visit our website, there are several ways your data may be collected:
- Website Forms
If you complete a website form, the data we collect will be used only for the purpose of your request e.g. providing further information on our services. We will not share your personal information with any third parties
- Cookies (see appendix 1)
- Google Analytics
Our website has the Google analytics plugin installed. The purpose of this is to allow us to monitor website activity, visitor numbers, pages visited, referring sites, keywords used. Information it will tell us about you includes your country, operating system, device type, IP address. Our Emails to you
McPhersons issues a monthly newsletter by email. If you already receive our email, we will continue to send these unless you opt out. Every email we send has an unsubscribe button at the bottom. Our lawful basis for continuing to send these emails is legitimate interest.

When we send bulk emails, we capture and analyse the response. For example, who has opened the email, who has clicked on which link.
