McPhersons GDPR Privacy Policy for Website/Email Marketing

Please note, this is the privacy policy relating to our website users and for marketing purposes only. If you are a client, a separate policy is available on request by emailing info@mcphersons.co.uk.

We process your personal information, for which we have stringent safeguards in place to protect it.

We collect, process and retain your personal information including, but not limited to, name, address, email address and telephone numbers that directly or indirectly potentially indicate your identity.

You have the right to access, rectify or erase personal information, or restrict processing, or object to processing, as well as the right to data portability. Any requests to access/amend/delete data should be directed to info@mcphersons.co.uk . You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner.  You also have the right to seek judicial remedy.

If you feel that we or any third party we use have not done enough to respect and protect your privacy and confidentiality, in the first instance please contact us or our data protection officer about any matters that concern you.

Security of data

McPhersons has the Cyber security accreditation and local machines are ESET protected. All our work is carried out on the Cloud using a EU based cloud provider, Hosted Desktop UK Ltd.
Any data we store is held on servers within the EU. We will hold data collected for marketing purposes for up to 7 years unless there is a request to delete it before this time.

Our website

When you visit our website, there are several ways your data may be collected:

If you complete a website form, the data we collect will be used only for the purpose of your request e.g. providing further information on our services. We will not share your personal information with any third parties

Our website has the Google analytics plugin installed. The purpose of this is to allow us to monitor website activity, visitor numbers, pages visited, referring sites, keywords used. Information it will tell us about you includes your country, operating system, device type, IP address. Use of Google Fonts Web API

Our Emails to you

McPhersons issues a monthly newsletter by email. If you already receive our email, we will continue to send these unless you opt out. Every email we send has an unsubscribe button at the bottom. Our lawful basis for continuing to send these emails is legitimate interest.

After May 2018, if  you are not  already receiving our emails, you will need to opt in to receive them.

When we send bulk emails, we capture and analyse the response. For example, who has opened the email, who has clicked on which link.

We store the data we need to send emails with a third party provider, Emailblaster UK Ltd who are GDPR compliant.

Appendix 1 Use of cookies
