Bexhill 60s Revolution is a huge, town-wide, FREE festival taking place on 13th July 2019; celebrating the decade that changed history. It will feature the fashion, the music, the dances, the vehicles and above all the social history that made the sixties so special.
Acts confirmed so far are the original Tremeloes, the Counterfeit Stones and the sounds of the Magical Mystery Tour with the Beatles for Sale. Mix this with some retro Sixtes and Jimi Hendrix and the Woodstock era from Freak Flag and you will have a musical feast for your ears!
You can dance with the Meyer Dancers, the UKs leading 1960s dance troupe along with many other dance groups and schools.
Other entertainment includes Bond taking on the likes of Oddjob and Jaws in ‘Licence to Thrill’ – stunt action on the streets of Bexhill.
Bexhill 60s Revolution is a non-profit-making community event run by Events by the Sea Ltd, whose directors are Roger Crouch and Alastair Hazell. Their team also ran the Roaring 20s event for the past few years, bringing in much needed revenue for the visitor economy of Bexhill-on-Sea.
Ainsley Gill, McPhersons director commented; “We are proud to be able to support this local event. Events like these make our town stand out, provide the locals with entertainment but more importantly, bring in visitors from outside the town to help support local businesses.”
